The difference between the pump type and the diffusion type gas detector is the sampling method

Diffusion gas detector is a kind of gas that slowly flows sample gas into the instrument with the free flow of air and needs to be placed on site. This method is affected by the detection environment, such as ambient temperature, wind speed, etc., and is not suitable for low pressure air sources. The advantage of diffusion gas detector is that its cost is lower than that of pump type.
The pump type gas detector is equipped with a gas sampling pump. Its working mode is that the power supply drives the gas sampling pump to sample the gas in the area to be measured, and then sends the sample gas to the instrument for detection. The pump type gas detector is characterized by fast detection speed, remote measurement of dangerous areas and maintenance of personnel safety. It is suitable for occasions where the gas detector cannot be placed on site and has special requirements for reaction speed, pressure difference, etc.
The gas sampling pump is an important operating part of the pumping gas detector, which is directly related to the life and reliability of the instrument. The gas detector generally selects small and micro volume gas pump. During the design, micro air pump shall be selected according to the requirements of flow, pressure, power, isolation from the sample, no leakage, lightweight, low noise, electromagnetic compatibility, service life, etc.
